The goals for our building process are to make the experience enjoyable for our clients as well as ensure the home is built timely and within budget. There are several key components of our process which have proven to accomplish those goals.
First, we have in-depth meetings early in the process to discuss the client's wish list, desired location, home plan, and budget. We attempt to gather as much information early in the process to avoid surprises during construction which helps to reduce chance of delay and related costs.
When the plan and specifications are finalized, then we provide a schedule to the client which includes the dates that final decisions need to be made. When those decisions are made, an approval form is prepared which details the product and related cost. The client reviews and signs the approval form before we order which provides confirmation to the client that their selections will be followed. Additionally, we maintain a cost summary sheet for the client based on their approved selections which avoids budget surprises during the process. All of this is done to provide a high level of comfort for the client that their new home is built to their specifications and within their pre-determined budget.
On-site management is another key component to our building process. We have direct experience is every phase of construction and are actively involved with every step of the process. This includes low impact site preparation, structural and mechanical methods which exceed code requirements, quality control procedures, and constant communication with the suppliers, trades, and the client. The post-construction process includes punch-list management as well as a 12 month final inspection. However, focusing on the details during the construction process has proven to provide a very low rate of post construction call backs and a high level of referral business
